Heart goes out to all who have lost their homes, businesses, friends and family members and so many people who lost their lives in the recent earthquakes in Christchurch, Japan and their surrounding neighbors from the devastating tsunami's.. Thoughts are with the people of Japan over the uncertainty of the nuclear reactors and the countries who will be directly affected from the fall out.  I want to thank all the people, the individual countries who have come together, to the aid, rescue and recovery of loved ones in these most destructive times in our world. Days and months which we will never forget, in the cities and places we love so much.

Here in New Zealand since the Christchurch earthquake September 4th 2010, with the thousands of earthquakes which followed, leading to the 6.3, they appear to be more centralized to the city itself, I've been pondering the thoughts of a  magma plume rising which originally created the peninsula over millions of  years. The 3 caldera volcano's on banks peninsula are extinct, but magma plumes can lay dormant filling from their previous release. I've been looking at this from time to time since September 4th through curiosity, with movement of the tectonic plates directional course and the volcanic zone in general. The Hawaiian islands are a perfect example of this natural occurance with the "Hawaii Island" itself the latest addition to the chain. You can look, or follow this sequence and path of the pacific plates movement over time, over the plume with the new islands popping up as this is released. The oldest of this arch is now submerged below sea level through errosion over millions of years.

The Geonet site here in New Zealand is no reflection of what is actually going on down here, with only the earthquakes over 2.1 being recorded on the site. I question the many thousands or so,  more which have been smaller than this reading. I have asked people how they feel, more so recently and they express feelings of on a boat and one even stated she gets like a sea sickness. It will be interesting how many overseas few the recent events with the Rugby World Cup coming up later in September.

Also with liquifaction, the streets, buildings and all else which is on top, takes the place of the seddiments which rise. One women on the news stated it's a sinking ship and she is leaving. If this is the case then should we be creating liveable dwellings further north around more solid soils. A magma plume rise may happen one day, could be 10yrs, 100 or more a million? It's obvious no one know's this for sure, but I fear that the earthquakes will not stop here in the near future and I also fear they may intensify as the days, weeks and months go by as a plume potentially could be pushing it's way to the suface. All I ask, the individuals who are studying the thousands of quakes to, by the end of the day, listen with an open mind to the sound waves in the earth.

There's people at stake with authorities admitting they have no explanation and always saying it's part of the process. What process I ask, it's mother nature, that which you cannot predict let alone speculate on. With my time in Wellington, admitidly the fault structure is different, but for all the earthquakes I have felt their, in the aftermath I have never experienced what I do now and this is why I started searching for some explanation to it all. I have searched through many sites over the last seven months and here is a couple with some more information.

I am always proud when mentioning where I live to aquaintences and it really hurt's so much to see our once beauitful city in this current state it is. I also wish everyone who has lost all they have, here and in Asia, the very best for their immediate and later futures and I wonder where they will go and how long it will take for them to be able to build a new era in their life. The people have really come together in these tragedies and I commend all the efforts, the will to continue living while holding their heads high. I am so thankful and happy to be alive, to live a new day and move forward. I really hope the people in all countries affected by our worlds events, which appear will continue, that they can find some form of peace and can continue with the driving spirit which has been witnessed from me and the millions of people from all over the world to be there for one another..
